Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the ORB app (“ORB”, “the app”) collects, why, and the choices you have. ORB is operated by Viktoriia Kovalenko (“we”, “us”). Short version: ORB has no accounts, keeps your Screen Time data on your iPhone, and uses anonymous analytics to improve the app.
Screen Time data
With your permission, ORB uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks (Family Controls, Device Activity and Managed Settings) to block the apps you choose and to show how you use your phone.
- Usage figures such as screen time, pickups and per-app time are processed by Apple inside a protected extension on your device. They are displayed to you but cannot be read, stored or transmitted by ORB.
- The apps you choose to block are stored by Apple as anonymous tokens. ORB cannot see their names.
- You can revoke access anytime in iPhone Settings › Screen Time.
Data stored on your device
Your focus sessions, goals, rules, onboarding answers, profile name and settings are stored only on your iPhone, in the app's own storage and in a shared container used by the ORB widget and extensions. Deleting the app deletes this data. ORB does not use iCloud sync.
Anonymous analytics
We use TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service based in the EU, to understand how ORB is used and where it can improve.

Events are tied to a random identifier that is hashed before it leaves your device, so it cannot be traced back to you. We never send your name, email, location, contacts, Screen Time figures or the apps you use. Analytics data is not used for advertising and is not shared with data brokers.
Purchases
ORB Plus subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive confirmation that a subscription is active, but never your payment details. See Apple's privacy policy for how Apple handles purchases.
Notifications
Session, break, evening and reminder notifications are scheduled locally on your iPhone. No push notification service is used.
Tracking and advertising
ORB contains no ads, no advertising SDKs and does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
Children
ORB is intended for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Your rights
Because ORB has no accounts and analytics are anonymous, we generally cannot link data to you. If you live in the EU, UK or another region with data protection rights, you can still ask us about access, deletion or objection by emailing hello@danylokv.dev. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, mention it in the app's release notes.
